I think @PhilipBloom is taking it a bit seriously. His skill & experience are good, but he’d have a rough time handling a crit in my class.
Gollum was always CG to me & took me out of the films. Several times I forgot Na’vi weren’t real. Something Just Happened (~2 weeks ago).

Grading puts me in such a foul mood. Thank God for the A/B-level work.
I permitted students to include Creative Commons images in a final project. Apparently that includes any website starting with “www.”
One student’s citation reads, “All images from google.com and flickr”
That said, some students pushed their concepts far enough to become commentary/criticism, and thus fair use. And also awesome.
