Just watched Dante 01 by Marc Caro (City of Lost Children, Delicatessen). Sort of Sunshine + Dante’s Inferno. Interesting, not great. 6/10

I’m impressed with RED’s news, but mostly disappointed. Wanted the impossible: Nikon mounts for $3k. Can’t swing $7k w/o a business plan.
But the 2/3” sensor can do 120fps (faster than all other new products announced)… So how long until Redrock/Letus/Brevis has a 35mm mount?
So the $2500 Scarlet w/ 2/3” sensor has interchangeable lenses, but the same DOF issues as current fixed lens video cams w/ same size sensor
RED’s kicking major ass at the mid and high end. But that’s not where I live, as a photo/video hobbyist/enthusiast and as an instructor.

Watched Tarsem’s “The Fall” during return flight. End credits roll. Turbulence begins and lasts for remainder of flight.
Flight out was okay. Wedding was terrific. Flight back delayed by 30 min so far. *IF* that’s the worst of it, no complaints.
